We are very excited to announce that Workplace Law will be the major sponsor for the Inner West Magpies AFL Premier Division Women’s team in 2021.

Shane Koelmeyer, Director and CEO – Workplace Law

“We are impressed by the Club’s genuine commitment, at every level, to building their AFL program and to providing a pathway for girls who want to play AFL. Senior players, Bec Privitelli and Erin Todd shared with me how supportive the men’s coaches and players are when it comes to the women’s teams and what a wonderfully inclusive atmosphere exists at the Club. We are excited to be the Club’s first major sponsor solely for their women’s program. We understand that community sporting clubs need commercial support to properly provide the necessary coaching and resources for the increasing number of female players. Through our fast growing Female Champions program, we are determined to continue playing our part in removing any and all barriers when it comes to female participation in sport.”

Yvette Andrews, Vice President IWM and founding member of the women’s team

“The Inner West Magpies Football Club is delighted to welcome Workplace Law as the major sponsor of our Premier Division Women’s team. Shane and Athena at Workplace Law are the perfect fit with the Magpies as community-minded business people with a passion for women’s sport. We can’t wait to see the impact this partnership will have on the club and our ability to provide an excellent, high performance environment for our women players.”

Erin Todd, Inner West Magpies and GWS AFLW player

“It is just fantastic news that Workplace Law and in particular Shane and Athena are becoming the IMW first female program sponsor. Their support and genuine care for our program will be the foundation of many successful years for the Magpies both on and off the field. From the moment I stepped into the club I knew the Magpies were a great family club. I am thrilled Shane and Athena are now part of our family too. I really look forward to working with them and building a lasting friendship.”

Teresa also shows other athletes that, while challenging at times, it is possible to ‘do it all’ by playing professional sport and building a successful career off the field.
