Workplace Law is delighted to confirm it has agreed to become Burwood Briars major sponsor for its women's cricket program. The two-year partnership will fund coaching, equipment and player development to help provide a seamless pathway from junior to senior women's cricket at the Club.
The agreement follows a landmark first year for the women's program, which won a premiership in its inaugural season.
Shane Koelmeyer, CEO & Director at Workplace Law, said the local connection made the partnership especially meaningful.
"Both Athena and I grew up in the inner west area and have always been passionate about cricket so, it's wonderful to support a Club like Burwood Briars. Women's cricket has grown enormously in recent years, and we're proud to back a Club that is fully committed to investing in all levels of its women's cricket program to ensure they are successful on the field."
Burwood Briars Chairman Damian Price, said the funding would help solidify the program.
"Our inaugural women's season exceeded expectations, capped by a premiership. Workplace Law's support lets us build on that momentum and create a genuine pathway for girls in our junior programs to progress into senior women's cricket. Beyond the sponsorship, Athena, Shane and their team bring real commitment to sport and deep expertise that make them an excellent partner."
We welcome Burwood Briars Cricket to the Workplace Law sports family.
