Female Champions Program - Introducing Katie Brown

Workplace Law is delighted to announce Katie Brown as our newest Female Champion.

Many people may know Katie from her appearances for Channel 7 Brisbane covering all sport, particularly the NRL and NRLW, along with her own radio show each Friday on SEN.
      
Katie’s is a wonderfully talented journalist who, thanks to her sports background, has a skill for shining a bright and positive light on all the good players and stories in sport.  Katie’s enthusiasm and desire to be a source of joy and to be a great example for young boys and  girls is irresistible.
      
Workplace Law will support Katie and her podcast series “Real Talk with Katie Brown” which you can listen to here.   In her most recent podcast Katie chats to one of the NRL’s most humble and selfless players, Ronaldo Mulitalo.
      
      

About Katie
     
Katie Brown is a proud Grafton girl who recently took a position in Brisbane as Channel 7's Rugby League Correspondent and Sports Presenter.
     
Labelled a trailblazer of a unique kind, Katie juggled her media work whilst playing for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership. The journalist works as a radio host and commentator for the Sports Entertainment Network and is an ambassador for betting agency, NEDS.
     
The 30-year-old has also launched her own business, Real Talk Media which provides raw and relevant content to fans and a weekly podcast interviewing some of the biggest names in sport.
     
Brown’s motivation to pursue this project began from her own sporting experiences and appreciation for people involved. She helps aspiring journalists and hosts with her own mentoring program at RTM.
     
This country larrikin also has a sensitive side. A natural leader, she has a passion to share her learnings from on and off the football field with others and discuss how they can be applied in day-to-day life.
     
Sipping margaritas, listening to music, going to the beach and snowboarding are some of her favourite things to do outside of work.
