About Katie

Katie Brown is a proud Grafton girl who recently took a position in Brisbane as Channel 7's Rugby League Correspondent and Sports Presenter.

Labelled a trailblazer of a unique kind, Katie juggled her media work whilst playing for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership. The journalist works as a radio host and commentator for the Sports Entertainment Network and is an ambassador for betting agency, NEDS.

The 30-year-old has also launched her own business, Real Talk Media which provides raw and relevant content to fans and a weekly podcast interviewing some of the biggest names in sport.

Brown’s motivation to pursue this project began from her own sporting experiences and appreciation for people involved. She helps aspiring journalists and hosts with her own mentoring program at RTM.

This country larrikin also has a sensitive side. A natural leader, she has a passion to share her learnings from on and off the football field with others and discuss how they can be applied in day-to-day life.

Sipping margaritas, listening to music, going to the beach and snowboarding are some of her favourite things to do outside of work.
